Also known as applied kinesiology, muscle testing can be done in person or at a distance, via proxy.
What is muscle testing?
Using your muscles, we can find what events or emotions “weaken” or “strengthen” your body. This process is called applied kinesiology and is often referred to as “muscle testing.” It’s simply a really cool way we can ask your body questions and get clear answers – like a telephone to the subconscious mind.
How does muscle testing work?
Think of quantum mechanics as a metaphor for modern technology; the web contains all the information we need. We just have to type in the right search words to find it. This is the same with universal intelligence, or collective consciousness. When the intention is made to heal and support health and well-being, the practitioner places their own needs aside in order to act on behalf of the person receiving the energy healing.
In terms of the web analogy, the collective consciousness can be accessed with the right intention—or the right search words! In terms of quantum mechanics this is supported by entanglement or string theory. Einstein referred to it as “spooky action at a distance” and Bohr, his challenger, made history explaining this phenomenon that so puzzled Einstein.
Energy healing explained
Think of the feeling of love. How do you explain it? Through experience. This is the same for energy healing. Although there is a plethora of evidence that supports energy healing, even distance energy healing, it is best expressed through experience. Take, for example, the experiment wherein cells healed in petri dishes that were distant from each other and had the same positive outcomes. There is a profusion of evidence concerning such studies, but this is too complex to fully explain in one blog!

Lindsay Tassé, MA, CAGS EA, CECP, CBCP
Lindsay Tassé earned a Master’s in Holistic Mental Health Counseling with a Certification in Advanced Graduate Studies in Expressive Arts. She is a registered Associate of Marriage and Family Therapy; Level III Reiki training and initiation; and trained in Emotion and Body Code healing.
Before entering the mental health field, Lindsay worked for 22 years as a teacher worldwide in alternative educational settings with children and families while she earned her B.A. in Psychology and Master’s in Education. While in India she volunteered with a world- renowned humanitarian organization for two years where she practiced both Kingian nonviolence and Rosenberg nonviolent communication skills.
Such experiences solidified her mission to help empower others to connect to heart and intuitive intelligence for a more fulfilling and meaningful life. As an artist in the Children’s Book Illustration program at RISD, Lindsay realized that art helps reach profound places within to release subconscious emotional layers. This led her to change from teaching to counseling using expressive arts. She also discovered that integrating healing arts with creative expression intensifies the healing process and promotes empowerment through increased mind-body awareness and intuition.
Lindsay uses expressive arts and energy healing in sessions. Inspired by Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Sue Johnson’s work, she also integrates interpersonal neurobiology and neuroscience as part of psychoeducation. As well, she is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. As a volunteer for HeartMath Institute she uses the EmWave Pro biofeedback program to teach heart centered breathing. Using such holistic modalities, Lindsay tailors each session to fit the unique needs of every individual, couple or family. Lindsay specializes in healing relationship conflicts, anxiety, trauma and working with children. She creates a warm and compassionate atmosphere to support empowerment, intuitive intelligence and self-healing.
