Sage Goodwin, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Sage Goodwin is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist. Her work revolves around the (aim/goal/objective/hope) of helping her clients heal, change, and improve their relationships. She sees the definition of a relationship as one we have with ourselves as well as one with partners, family, world community, etc. She believes that one of the most healing things we can have in our lives are healthy connections to others. She is a passionate Couples therapist, as well as an individual therapist for adults, families, and teens. She is certified in a form of couples and family therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which has changed how she sees the world and her work. It is a highly effective and a research validated model that helps partners get out of their stuck patterns and narratives; while helping them connect more with their emotions, drastically improving their relationship and healing themselves. She wants people to know that even if you have never been in therapy that she will be a directive guide with clear intellectual and experiential knowledge of how to help people feel less stuck and more fulfilled. Sage got her Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in drama therapy from the California Institute of Integral studies, San Francisco, CA. And she did her undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Colorado at Boulder. She has been in private practice since 2010. She is a wife and mother to two daughters.
